When it comes to “Mad Men” voluptuous actress Christina Hendricks, the conversation inevitably turns to the 34-year-old’s curves, and she recently told New York Magazine that it, well, embarrasses her a bit. “Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious,” Hendricks explained. “I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body! The talk escalated in January when the New York Times ran a quote from a stylist who called Hendricks “big,” which perhaps by Hollywood standards she is. It might sound silly, but I didn’t realize I was so different. I was just oblivious. Sometimes I would go on an audition and someone would say something like, ‘Girl, you’re refreshing!’ That was it,” she said. Regardless of whether or not she’s truly an entertainment anomaly, Hendricks would appreciate it if the conversation could turn away from her cup size and focus more on her acting.

Speaking about what a relationship needs to work, she said: “I share myself with people – that’s the kind of way I exist. That’s important. Also, to be a leader and stronger than me. I guess men also need the most amazing sense of humor – a bizarre (expletive)-up sense of humor where we can both be people-watching and crack up at the same time without saying a word, because we know what we’re thinking. The 25-year-old beauty – whose parents are both pastors – also believes it is important for a man to respect her, and not expect to have sex with her early on in a relationship. She explained: “Any guy that thinks they deserve my body after just paying for one dinner is pretty disastrous. That’s pretty bad.” You go girl, good for her.

Amy Adams, the “Leap Year” actress – who is currently expecting her first child – says she knew almost straight away actor Darren Le Gallo was the one for her but it was six years before he finally popped the question.  She said: “I knew that I wanted to marry him after about three dates, but it was six years before he proposed. In the second year especially, I really, really, really wanted to be engaged to him. But he was just taking his time. Eventually, I adopted the philosophy that he wasn’t ready and I wasn’t in a hurry, so I knew that it would be worth the wait.” Although Darren wasn’t in a hurry to propose, Amy knew it was going to happen because they had already discussed marriage.  She told the Independent newspaper: “I trusted that it would happen eventually because we communicated our intentions with one another. It wasn’t as if I was waiting in the dark. There have been cases when I have worked for a long time on films away from home and he has sacrificed so much to come visit me and keep our lives together. All I had to do was be patient and understanding.” And so she has, we wish her good luck.

Kim Cattrall claims acting “consumes her life” so much she can’t hold onto her relationships. The ‘Sex and the City‘ actress – who split from chef Alan Wyse last July after five years together -finds it hard to find love with anyone outside of her profession but hasn’t given up hope of settling down one day.
Kim, 53, said: “It’s very hard for someone not involved in this business to really understand what it’s about. “You work 12-hour days, and something like a series literally consumes your life. Although she keeps challenging herself in her acting career, Kim says sticking to the character she is best known for – man-eater Samantha Jones in ‘Sex and the City‘ – would be much easier. Admitting she is nervous about her upcoming starring role in London play ‘Private Lives‘ opposite ‘Pride and Prejudice‘ actor Matthew MacFayden, she added: “Sometimes I think why do I have to do these scary things? It would be much easier just to play Samantha for the rest of my life. “You’ve been looking forward to working with this director and these actors and this play and then it comes and you think, ‘Oh, (expletive)!’… Like, ‘Oh no! Cougar Madonna has reportedly split from Jesus Luz.  The 51-year-old star is said to have been dumped by the 23-year-old Brazilian model – who she has been dating for over a year – because their massive age gap left them with little in common. A source told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: “The problem is as simple as it is obvious – it’s the age difference. How long could it last? How it even lasted a year seems a miracle to a lot of people. “They are in such different places in their lives. They both benefited, but it’s pretty much over now.” The split was said to be amicable, with the ‘4 Minutes’ singer – who raises four children, 13-year-old Lourdes, Rocco, nine, Mercy, five, and four-year-old David – agreeing it was time to call an end to their 13-month relationship. The source added: Madonna “told me, ‘We’ve just run out of things to talk about. We have Kabbalah, but that’s about it. It’s really pushing it for us to have common ground these days.’ ” Madonna’s representative had no comment to make Tuesday night.
