Hot British singer and TV personality Cheryl Cole says she is separating from her husband, football (soccer) player Ashley Cole. She gave him the boot. The 26-year-old Girls Aloud pop singer is a judge for the British reality talent show “The X Factor” along with Simon Cowell. She asked the media to respect her privacy “during this difficult time” in a statement issued Tuesday by her publicist. Ashley Cole plays left back for Chelsea and the England national team. British media had speculated the marriage was in trouble after tabloids published front-page stories reportedly linking Ashley Cole to other women. The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer sought comfort from ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ professional performer Derek Hough after texting her husband, soccer star Ashley Cole, to tell him their marriage was over and he should move out of their marital home. Cheryl, 26, fled the U.K. for Los Angeles last week after lurid allegations of Ashley cheating on her with five other women emerged. How awful for her.

Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish have gone there separate way. The ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age‘ star moved out of the Los Angeles home the pair shared on Sunday and it has been confirmed the couple’s romance is over. A representative for the Australian actress said: “Abbie ended the relationship with Ryan and she moved out of their home.” However, the rep did not give a reason for the separation. Rumors have been rife for some time that Ryan, 35, and 27-year-old Abbie’s relationship was on the rocks. At the beginning of the year it was reported the pair were “fighting all the time” over the actor’s apparent reluctance to commit. A source said at the time: “The main thing is that Abbie wants to be married and start a family and she feels it’s beyond time for Ryan to make that happen. Ryan is spending more and more time partying.”

Sad Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly visited divorce lawyers to help them separate. This only  happens in Hollywood.  The pair – who aren’t married, but have been dating since 2004 and raise six children together – are believed to have signed legal documents earlier this month with the plan to split up in the near future. So much for family values and trying to work out there problems. The legal document will reportedly see their $330 million fortune halved in two, while the pair will have joint custody of their kids. A source told the News of the World newspaper: “The document was signed in early January. Both Brad and Angelina had signed it. The contract was like a tailor-made version of a pre-nuptial agreement except for an unmarried couple’s split. “It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children. But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full-time.” They have three adopted children, Maddox, eight, Pax, six, and Zahara, five, as well as three biological kids, Shiloh, three and 17-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne. It is believed the pair visited a top Los Angeles law firm in December last year, and have since hired an attorney specializing in celebrity divorces.
While an official separation date has not been confirmed, it has been claimed the couple plan to announce their split in the near future. Landlord M.R.A. Realties Inc. says in a lawsuit that Mischa Barton rebuffed efforts to collect the last three months’ worth of rent on her flat in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood in New York City. Barton’s representatives had no immediate response. The landlord wants Barton to pay the rent and legal fees.The 23-year-old Barton also lives in Los Angeles. The lawsuit filed Thursday says her one-year lease on the Manhattan apartment began in September. At the time, she was in “The Beautiful Life,” a CW series about the New York modeling world. LOS ANGELES — Brittany Murphy, the actress who got her start in the sleeper hit “Clueless” and rose to stardom in “8 Mile” before her movie roles declined in recent years, died Sunday in Los Angeles of what appeared to be natural causes, a Los Angeles County coroner’s official said. She was 32. Murphy was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Sally Stewart said. Murphy was transported to the hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8 a.m. at the home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills. An official cause of death may not be determined for some time, since toxicology tests will be required, but “it appears to be natural,” Winter said. He said an autopsy was planned for Monday or Tuesday. Winter said Murphy’s family was cooperating with the coroner’s investigation but would not be releasing a public statement Sunday. He said funeral arrangements have not been announced. Detectives and coroner’s officials were at Murphy and Monjack’s home Sunday afternoon but did not talk to reporters. Paparazzi were camped outside the multistory home, located above the Sunset Strip.
